Coled One (Twitch & Youtube)

Coled One is an online content creator based in Lexington, KY. He hosts weekly streams on Twitch and creates video essays and analytic pieces on Youtube centered around games and pop culture. In 2020, I began making material for his social media outlets.

When creating his online presence, one of his primary concerns was creating a cohesive design structure that accurately depicted the identity he wanted to bring to his channels. He requested that it be reminiscent of design elements from 1990's game consoles, specifically popular titles on the Sega Dreamcast. He especially emphasized a look that was inspired by games such as Sonic Adventure 1998 due to its bright and playful aesthetics.

The resulting designs followed a color palette of bold, primary colors with the main theme color as cobalt blue. Background patterns were heavily influenced by the abundance of sky and ocean textures seen in Sonic Adventure, and the fonts chosen were bold and block-like.
